If you're going to sit there and claim that none of the social ills that have plagued this country since its inception -- sexism, racism, classism, imperialism and the like -- are in no way rooted in religious belief, despite the overabundance of religious language employed by those defending the status quo, you're going to have to do more than simple gainsaying, my friend.
