Well perhaps because this is what you said, not Obama:

He didn't mention god or jesus or anything religious at all. He merely quoted a text that he holds in high regard.

And that is not a statement you actually wanted to defend, so when you were questioned on that statement as part of the give and take of discourse here, instead of responding to the point being made, you opted for "diversion".
