8. If one has no choices, and if (in particular) one has no choice about the positions

that one takes in discussions, then discussions have no content: a conversation is simply a sequence of meaningless pre-determined noises

I suppose a person could take such a point of view, but I cannot see any point at all in discussing anything with someone who does take that point of view
