In reply to the discussion: President Obama bashed for quoting Scripture in Immigration address. [View all]Act_of_Reparation
(9,116 posts)78. Short memory, eh?
Perfectly understandable, seeing as your all-around bad behavior earned you a nice little 90-day vacation shortly thereafter.

But that's okay. I mean, this is the internet, and everything you have ever said here is on the fucking record. I'd be happy to kick the thread that earned you your expulsion from A&A if you think it may help those rusty gears grind into place.
(As well as being irrelevant to this thread.)
Irrelevant? Like what Goblinmonger said to you that one fucking time all those months ago? You know, the thing you bring up whenever he replies to you?

Incidentally, while it's neither here nor there, the reason why I left A&A is because the forum administration wanted to push me into the closet as a militant atheist.
That's funny. I recall them, and just about everyone else, asking you to stop saying the offensive term "militant atheist". And then I remember you getting kicked the fuck out because you wouldn't stop.
Which might explain why you're breaking out of your atheist closet in really strange places... like religion and interfaith forums.
I will not be rendered invisible simply to appease those might feel threatened by my very existence.
Uh, yeah. It's not "threat" you inspire in me, it's more like... repulsion.
And, incidentally, you can be rendered invisible. Quite easily, in point of fact. With the click of a button, I could very well sanitize my entire DU experience of your nauseating, repellant presence.
You know what. That's a pretty good idea...

OP
are you hoping we will overlook the fact that the scripture isn't just text, it IS religious text?

It makes me uncomfortable when ANY president quotes the bible to justify policy.

It is not inconsistent for somebody to be comfortable with religious statements.
