There is no doubt about that in my book. Hundreds and hundreds of years of male-dominated structure can warp your brain, men and women included. Some men think they have every right (to almost any woman) in the world; many women in the church are just fine keeping quiet and having babies.

Not sure which came first, patriarchy or religion, but both are inextricably bound up in each other these days.

"society is going through some sort of transition" (has it ever been different?)
