10. I think the way it works

is that the Church considers his first two marriages invalid, because they happened before he converted. So he wasn't really married to his first two wives, therefore Callista never really committed adultery with him and also is not doing so now. I'm sure she's long since been absolved of the years of fornication that went on while they thought he was married to his second wife. It's all very convenient.
