Didn't Jesus speak out against adultery, reiterating the teachings of the Old Testament? How do Mormons reconcile this with their claim to be Christians?

Why are they opposed to same-sex marriage when you consider that Jesus never said anything against it but did speak against having more than one spouse at a time?

Very, very inconsistent.
