I started this thread by pointing out that the same logic you used in declaring that you know what Jesus wants us to do is in use by the religious right when they tell us what Jesus wants us to do.
You can scream all you want, drag me into it to compare me to a religious freak or an authoritarian, but that's what it comes down to: anytime one welds their political beliefs to their religious ones, they become inflexible, and compromise becomes impossible.
Thus the political stalemate we have today. It doesn't do anyone any good. I had hoped you'd see that, but instead you decided to attack me and my intelligence. Good luck convincing everyone you (and you alone) know what Jesus thinks.
