Within the confines of the game, what is behind door number 3 is unknowable to the player prior to making her fatefull choice. Door number 4 on the other hand doesn't exist. The player should be concerned about what might be behind door number 3, but worrying about door number 4 is pointless.
His Unfathomableness is the hand waving explanation for the fact that there are no gods acting in reality.

actually the agnostic view is that the existence of god cannot be known, not that god is unknowable.
