but it is as much cultural as it is religious. Despite the conservative control of the Catholic church, Obama got the majority of the Catholic vote, which shows something about the level of control the leadership really exerts.

and as we often say here, moderate and liberal Christian voices are often ignored by the media because they are not controversial enough to make news. Are we outshouted? no. but the reporting makes it that way.
