One recent example:

Of course, the notion of a "soul" is pretty ridiculous anyway. I'll believe in that one when someone manages to weigh one, or block light with one, or use one as a force to measurably act upon some other entity, or-- well, you get it.

A particular statement (call it "S&quot is either true or false.

Some people claim, "S is true." They rely upon it and reach the conclusion that all religion is necessarily false.

Other people claim, "S is false." It is lucky indeed for the cause of atheism if the claim can be ruled inadmissible on the grounds that the topic is religion and the claim is off-topic.
