My aunt gave me a book of Greek mythology when I was in the second grade. I loved reading about Pandora, Pluto and Proserpine, Galatea and the golden apple, etc.

I took it to school in the fourth grade and the bitch teacher said "No normal child would be interested in Greek mythology". So I went home and said "Papa, aren't I normal??"

I was smarter than the average kid and she couldn't handle it.
