I'm hoping that striking DOMA down will have a ripple effect on state constitutional amendments prohibiting equal marriage.

And last night Senator Wendy Davis and her supporters in the gallery successfully filibustered a Republican attempt to impose further restrictions on abortion providers in the state. Thank the gods some people are finally remembering that this is the state of Ann Richards, Molly Ivins, Sam Yarborough, Henry Gonzalez and past and present liberal Democrats too numerous to mention.
