We could set up our discussion in nonfiction.

You know, The Blue Flower, I never thought about what you said. I was just thinking of it in terms of healthy food and keeping disease at bay. During the Sandy power outage, though, I learned what it was like to unplug and I learned fast about that "primitive" level of which you speak. It was exhilarating. I think we are missing a huge amount by living the way we live.

This could be a very pleasant surprise for all of us.

In fact, your post reminds me that someone on this forum asked me to write about that experience at some point, and now that I am off work for the summer, I would have the time to do so. I think I will write up a post on it. I may call it--it your honor--"unplugging."
