I love Sarah Ruden's translation of the Gospels. It is so fresh and poetic and helpful! Some creative ways to think about and consider the Gospel words and the intentions of the authors; painstakingly done; outstanding 27.5 page Introduction, followed by a wonderfully Discursive Glossary.
