Thank you for the prayers. [View all]

They helped. While I did have to have a shot in my eye again, the whole thing went much better. There was a different surgical assistant, who had not been assigned to me before. She was kinder, and calmer, than previous ones I had. When I explained I have anxiety disorder, she took the time to talk me through it, and asked what issues I was concerned about. I mentioned how badly the eye stung after on previous visits. She said that's because of the numbing drops and the lidocaine. She also promised that she would rinse the eye extra carefully, after the shot, and that should help. It really did. We filled out one of those cards for her that they have at hospitals acknowledging staff members who gave you excellent care.

The other good news is my lesion has remained smaller and stable for the past six months. The surgeon said I still had to have a shot though since he saw some minor bleeding, and that it could be a sign, it's still active, and he wanted to make sure we caught it, before it started to regrow. He said I am still going to need regular monitoring, but I probably won't need to have a shot every time, only if there was a concern, that they notice. I go back in 4 months. Again, thank you everyone.
