A question for Catholics here... [View all]

My information is often outdated, but I have alway heard that Central and South America are predominantly Catholic. I am concerned about 2 endangered species in Mexico, the vaquita the world's most endangered cetacean (https://seashepherd.org/dac-exclusive/#dac-frida) and the monarch butterfly.
My question is what would be the best way to get the pope's attention on these creatures? If he stated that their extinction would be a sin, it might change local attitudes in Mexico.
