Had a bad night. Getting with my doc tomorrow. ER gave me Rx for nitrofurantoin mono/macro 100mg. I asked for Cipro and got answer that's for kidney infection. Gonna ask for Cipro tomorrow. 2011, two ERs in one week with same infection. Bactrim from 1st ER, stopped taking, felt creepy. Next ER trip, "you don't have an infection." 😣 But I still did. Referral to a rheumatologist. No MS, no Lupus. Evidence of Epstein Barr antibodies from the 70's. "Everybody has them from mono." 🙄

Doc was not gonna test for recent infection until I pretty much demanded one. For $350 consult? I still had the bladder infection!!! Prescribed Bactrim (I call it 'spectracide'). Called her office. I won't take what you prescribed. Refused it at the pharmacy. Finally got Cipro and that did the trick. Now again I got prescribed some stuff I'm not used to
