1. Both Adam's original orders and Mamdani's rescinding them seems largely symbolic.

This was a blanket rolling back of orders, not focused on any one group or order. Not sure what NYC could meaningfully boycott that would affect Israel, the breadth of hate speech laws cover antisemitism as well as anything and I would bet big $$$ that the police chief has not done any rule evaluating since that order was put in place. Mamdani is a smart enough pol to realize he has to maintain decent relationships with all the many diverse constituencies in NYC to have any hope of getting anything done while in office. Will take a bit of time to see if he really proves that or just does stupid things that debilitate his administration from the get go.
