While I am not by definition an igtheist it hints at way I consider any thoughts of an "illimitable superior spirit"
Here, to me it seems that, you have made a wise separation between religion and a god concept.
I like that.
In one of the essays by Einstein he longingly hints at a religion of science.
I would endeavor to find the quote if you are interested. I get from my readings of his works that he believed that (like many artist) that a proper mindset allows for better thoughts and inspiration.
This year I have been looking a lot at the work being done in understanding consciousness and feel that "tuning" our minds is important.
What I mean by tuning is multidimensional - Have you seen the "fake it till you make it) ted talk.
Standing in a strong posture for two minutes causes the measurable hormonal changes - quickly
does the woo scare you?
The mind body connection is not the primary tuning. The tuning comes from the conscious activity we engage in. Garbage in garbage out. Keeping the focus on the "proper" things consistently propels the subconsciousness to cycle the same ideas.
It seems that all the real decisions and actions and reactions come faster than the conscious mind can keep up with.
So what would one call this kind of discipline?
It seems like a religion to me. No god - just a wish for the wisdom to make it a better day.
An LOL after this and I will understand that we are so far apart that I will stay clear.
I do really think the aggressive anti god/religion is silly and non-productive. It looks little different than a young child running around the playground yelling "there is not easter bunny"
Yep - those damn imaginary numbers are cool
One last thing - have you watched a professor foaming at the mouth deriving Euler's formula?
One second last thing - are you moved by the mystery of these things?
