2. I suspect there will be only minor activity at Yellowstone, if any

The North American plate has shifted to the SSW. The next supereruption (and there will be one) will likely be north of the present caldera and accompanied by extreme uplift of the region. The ultra hot magma will take the shortest route to the surface and it's blown mountains apart before.

I'm in the southern part of the ash fall zone but if it gets rid of the Orange Horror, bring it on.
