...if and when I have time but note that while I am proud of a capacity to change my mind about many things, the OP here is consistent with my long held view, going back at least 10 years, that solar and wind energy are unacceptable forms of energy if the goal is an environmentally stabilized world.

It's a prominent premise in the OP.

I argue that calling these forms of energy "renewable" is an abuse of language.
