In fact, it was used when the "Little Sisters of the Poor" filed a lawsuit against the HHS contraception mandate on the grounds that if they had to pay fines for not adhering to the law, they might not be able to afford their ministries to the poor. Yeah, right -- but the church can afford to throw millions into lobbying and lawsuits.
