(5,853 posts)47. I know alerts are anonymous insofar as DU members don't see who sent them...
but can admins (rather than hosts) see alerters' identities? If so, I like to think if they saw a pattern emerging among a small group of people that showed them alerting on the same poster(s) to get their posts hidden, they'd step in and either put them on forced ignore or at least send each member of the group a PM and tell them to knock it off under threat of forced ignore or even getting PPRed. Following a person from group to group and then waiting for him to post something that might be alert-worthy is creepily like cyberstalking, not to mention unbelievably childish, imo. It also makes DU suck.
