I know this is just eggs, but what if your optometrist, say, had a jesus fish on his business card. (I went to one that did....once) Do you really want a doctor that wears his beliefs in Bronze Age superstitions on his sleeve to operate on your eyes?

Funny that you bring this up. My mother has MS and I end up taking her all over the state of Texas to see doctors. While she is not an atheist (more like a lapsed catholic/Deist) we have been preached to by at least 3 to 4 of them. One of which sat us down, and began to lecture us on "the need to accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior."

Those who happen to not be fundamentalist....are usually corporate republicans who preach to us about the evils of Obamacare.

I wish we lived somewhere a bit more sane than Texas...
