6. Then there are the gay haters

My wife had made an appointment to see a new ob/gyn but when she arrived at his office the whole lobby was littered with horrible anti-gay tracts -- and they weren't just left there by another patient. According to her, the displays and "fire and brimstone" religious items made it quite obvious that the items were those of the doctor himself. So my wife told the receptionist she didn't feel comfortable keeping her appointment to which the nurse/receptionist simply said, "I understand." I really resent the fact that my wife had to put up with that kind of public embarrassment and stress for no other reason than she needed to see a doctor.
