8. Actually, the bigotry is much more widespread than you think

The doctor she has now is also anti-gay but at least she keeps her mouth shut. Still, the doctor makes her disapproval known in ways that make my wife feel very uncomfortable. In the meanwhile, we have found a new doctor who is very welcoming, has met both of us and is now my physician. My wife will be transferring to her soon.

On the whole, I've found nurses to be much more compassionate and caring towards the LGBT community. Around these parts a lot of the doctors are RW Republicans. Go figure. Many of them seem to be obsessed with paying taxes.
