Your "exercise in futility" methinks has much more to do with your style than with your message. Your message is usually pretty sound, but your delivery is often ugly, as can be seen reading some of your many hidden posts. If you really care about getting your message across, you might try toning down the rhetoric a little and reaching out to the more liberal theists instead of spitting in their faces. Just saying.
Remember, we are all hopefully liberal Democrats, trying to counter the extremes of the conservative Republicans. Squabbling with each other, over matters of personal faith, does little to further our common cause. We have an election in November. It's time to circle the wagons and recognize who the real enemies are.
