As an atheist, how do you feel about dead people, specifically, bluntly, dead bodies, including, ultimately, your own?

12. Atheist here.

For me, it's simple. I'm a donor. When I'm gone, I'm gone. Use the parts you can and cremate the rest. I don't want a grave because that's just a place to mourn and make other people wealthy.

I will live on in the minds of the people I've loved. I hope when they think of me they laugh or at the very least, smile. I never want to be the cause of sadness, anger or regret. But laughter, absolutely. Hopefully my ashes can be used as fertilizer. Nourishment for something else to live on.
