14. The winters of '77 and '78 got me... I had to go

When I was a kid I would run around like a nut in the heat.. So when the opportunity arose I came down to SoFla to check it out... I was only gonna stay for a year.. That was in '79 and I'm still here!! It's just the opposite of living up north.. In the winter up there you go from a heated house to a heated car to a heated job and back again. Down here in the summer we go from an air conditioned house to a a/c car to an a/c job... 72º low humidity winters are delish!!
I can always visit the cold if need be. I was an avid skier/snowboarder/ice skater. I can visit.
SoFla has lost it's glitz for me so next year I'm moving to the west coast of central Florida.. Cost of living is less and it's a wee bit cooler...... just a bit.. YMMV.. If you can afford it $$$, being a snow bird is the way to go.. Best of both worlds..
