1. That reminds me of the Winter I spent in Iceland

It was one of those 'once in a hundred years' types of Winter where snow was drifting up and over the airline hangers. There were days when the wind was so strong, some of us needed escorts to hold on to us when we were walking outside, and even days when nobody was allowed outside because of the white out conditions.

I actually received a 'Meritorious Service' ribbon for surviving that weather. Ah, memories.
