1. 116 at my Northern CA home yesterday

I got a good quality personal weather station for my birthday. It’s supposed to be accurate +-2%. Yesterday’s NWS forecast was for 114. The nearest NWS station reported 114. Today’s NWS forecast is for (drum roll please) 116!

We’re surrounded by wine grape vineyards and it does usually get hot here, mid to upper 90s occasionally at this time of year, but not like this. These are Mojave desert temps.

It’s harvest time and grapes won’t wait. Praying for the poor field workers who have to be out in this.
