2. It was only a few degrees cooler two weeks ago. The Oct weather is often like this.

Our two biggest fires occurred at the same time in Oct (200,000-300,000 acres and 2,000+ buildings were burned and destroyed in each of the Cedar-2003 and Witch-2007 fires). Now we have large planes and computers to help the fire fighters when it happens again (and it will...a matter of time).
