What the ...??? A tornado in Japan! [View all]

About 3 hours ago, there was a tornado in Tsukuba, Japan (about 40 miles northeast of Tokyo) that damaged or destroyed up to 50 homes and injured at least 30 people. That was followed a little later by a hailstorm. While such meteorological events are not uncommon in the US, they are very unusual in Japan.
