I was debating the merits of single-payer with a "libertarian" (note quotes) the other day. As I finished providing all of the benefits over privatized health insurance, his response was, "And you expect the government to do better?"

My reply was simply, "Yes, of course. At least your life is not depended upon profit under a government-payer system."

And I say this as an anarchist.
