(11,833 posts)I don't like character assassination of Sanders, of Clinton, of O'Malley or of anyone really. I've seen more of it here at DU aimed at Clinton, like what you're doing in your post.
Honestly, I don't know where people get these kinds of impressions unless they're drinking some pretty strong kool-aid or only listening to one source for 'news.' If you read a lot of other threads here besides just pro-Bernie stuff, I think you'll see the some of the crap that's been thrown out against President Obama, against Hillary Clinton, against pretty much any democrat who isn't Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders or in the progressive caucus, can be characterized as shrill and pretty far from the truth of the matter of where they stand on actual issues.
For example, Sanders has pretty much voted straight democratic party on nearly every issue during his time in the Senate. So, by that token it's not correct when fervent Clinton supporters call him some socialist as though it's an evil thing. By the same token, it's absurd when fervent Sanders supporters attack Clinton as some oligarchy supporting corporate sellout, when 98% of the things that Sanders supports Clinton also supports.
