62. Who made up this fiction, that Bernie is not a politician?

He is, and he is a good one. He may be honest and consistent, and have strong beliefs and lofty goals, but he still knows his way around and knows how to get things done and knows how to get elected and re-elected. Yes, you participate in fundraisers for your party (or in this case, even the party you caucus with). He'd be pilloried if he didn't. We're not voting for pope, here.
