In reply to the discussion: Did Romney bring cheat notes into the debate? [View all]ESDU
(4 posts)Here's my take:
1. Pre-meditated cheating. Ann prepared us by giving us his ritual of writing DAD on a note card and removing the watch. She did this in the event someone saw something weird that it could be explained by her pre-video.
2. Staff also was in on it as they said it was a handkerchief and low and behold Romney did appear to pat his face with one at the end of the debate so as if to say, "see - only a hankie folks!"
3. Staff 's account differs with Ann and the DAD note - oops.
4. Object was wrapped in a handkerchief. I thought it might have been an open planner laid out on the podium early on, but not 100% sure. Although the clearer pictures are pushing me back into that possibility.
5. He even appeared to unwrap it - who would unwrap a hankie?
6. Shortly after they began their debate Romney appeared to fidget around with his left arm - perhaps, to take the watch off? Again, another distraction move?
7. End of debate Romney was frantically trying to re-wrap the notes.
8. Family was panic-stricken when they realized Romney was holding the cheat notes in plain sight.
9. Romney even tried to keep Lehrer in front of him to hide the papers.
10. Then the most bizarre "get off the stage" cry from Ann.
WHY would Romney need to look down at his notes before spewing 'each' bullet point? Afte rall, the only thing that should have been on his podium was a blank notepad.
WHY is there such a big pushback against this? That alone speaks volumes. Don't give up on MSM.
