Republicans have been clear, no votes, no hearings, no nominee

The Jan 3 scenario is pretty improbable too. We'd lose the filibuster
permanently in that happenstance

All politicians lie, just like doctors. Bernie lies all the time. That's what they're paid to do.
They have to lie and utter half truths so the public will believe them
