Working in DC on policy matters, I know a lot of republicans. They are disgusted and freaked about Trump. One person, who worked for a republican senator back in the 1990s, and is as reliably republican as the come, recently sent a Unitarian (and very liberal) mutual friend the following message: "my party this election seems determined to drive us closer together than we could have imagined. Should it nominate Trump, you may find me in your church in more senses than one.
