2016 Postmortem
In reply to the discussion: Today I Quit Daily Kos by Salam Morcos [View all]passiveporcupine
(8,175 posts)160. Cause you would never throw anyone under the Clinton bus,
amiright?
Seems I've seen a few smashed bodies piled up around here lately.
Isn't it funny though that we are not allowed to disagree with anyone in our party, or we have "thrown them under the bus".
I would never throw Morgan Freeman under any bus...I love him dearly. We will just have to agree to disagree if he's for Hillary. God I love his voice. And he's a good man, and would not be for Hillary if he didn't think she was good too.
Her lifes work has been about breaking barriers and so would her presidency, which is why for every American whos not being paid what theyre worth, whos being held back by student debt or a system tilted against them, and there are far too many of you, she understands that our country cant reach its potential unless we all do," Freeman intones in the ad, which the Clinton campaign confirmed as new. "Together. A stronger country.
Now see, I do think she has broken some barriers and worked hard for the good of a lot of people, women, children, POC...here and abroad, but not everyone. She takes too long to catch up with us on many issues, like gay marriage. But most important, she's worked hard to hurt a lot of people too, in this country and abroad. And I think that balances out to zero for me. She is pretty much ineffective in the long game. Whereas Bernie has never worked to hurt anyone. He's always been on the right side of good. He has not been in the position to help as many people as she was (being POTUS freed her up to work on many great policies and bad)...but if he wins, he will have that opportunity.
Together with Bernie we can make a stronger country and a stronger planet.
