2016 Postmortem

(15,383 posts)4. A friend and I were talking about this just this afternoon.
Now that Bernie has been talking about issues most of us have wanted to talk about for decades, I'm feeling pretty good that our group of progressives can help to keep any Democrat as honest as our still profoundly corrupt system will allow them to be. If we can just get some reforms through, like ending the right of parties in power to 'gerrymander' districts, and overturning Citizens United, we'd be a LOT better off because it is, I believe, inexorable that we'll travel in the right direction.
We need to reorganize our system around human need rather than human greed.
