2016 Postmortem

(151,675 posts)88. Bernie has served very honorably in the Senate.
He has always been in the minority - the extreme minority. All the same he has been effective in introducing and passing amendments to bills that have helped many. I have nothing but respect for Bernie Sanders.
He will not be the Democratic nominee, but he showed that it is possible to challenge the status quo. That will be the lesson he has taught.
