WNY's and others in the state's outrage and persistence, resistance, and continued pressure was largely responsible for the ban, we had to fight the State establishment hard and relentlessly to earn our right to refuse the practice here. It was a bottom up change all the way and took all the rage and truth we could muster, but we won!

It may interest you than a great many of our anti Frak activists have gone cross country to help organize similar movements. You really do not understand the region I live in our the history of our anti-frakking activism here, do you?
