... NPR, CNN and ABC reported about Bernie returning home "after meeting with the Pope." That spin implies intentional conversation, much more weight than the picture of him waiting at 6 a.m. for a chance for a hand shake. Anyone with an open mind would see these news stories as the result of a cynical spin by the Sanders campaign to imply a connection between Sanders and the Pope that just isn't there, and that Francis is explaining is not there.

The spin is to appeal to Catholic voters, especially in New York. It is cynical and untrue.
