What are their claims? Most of what they claim is pretty good, it's the reality of what they actually do that sucks.

Pro-family that's a claimed republican value. I also am pro-family. The difference is that the republicans have done what they could to weaken the family. But I share their claimed value. I bet Clinton "and" Sanders do as well.

Being pro-life is a claimed republican value as well. I'm pro-life and I bet Sanders and Clinton are as well. But the actions of the republicans are decidedly anti-life and cause more abortions than they stop while increasing misery. By helping women to have access to reproductive health care, including abortion, democrats are effectively more pro-life.

Religious liberty heck I'm an atheist and I support religious liberty. But once again the claimed value runs right into the actions of republicans. Clinton and Sanders have both said their for religius freedom.

So saying Clinton appeals to republican values is a meaningless statement. There are three republican values that both Sanders and Clinton agree on.
