With only a quarter-century lead in name recognition, a mountain of Big Money and connections at every level of the party, yes, she is defeating a relative unknown new to the party, and who turned down the easy money.
None of this is to say she won't or shouldn't be nominated, or that Sanders shouldn't have started a decade ago, but..."fair and square"? Maybe.
