Well, as of today, both my wife and I have gone and done it! [View all]

My lovely wife went to our new town office during her lunch today. She registered and voted. I did the same last week.

So, as of today, there are 2 votes in Winthrop, Maine for President Obama, Rep. Chellie Pingree, David Bustin for State Senate, Craig Hickman for State Representative, Maeghan Maloney (whom I look at as a potential future Governor of Maine) for District Attorney and FOR Marriage Equality.

On Edit: Our 12 year old son will be voting for President Obama on Tuesday in his school's mock election, so our family is unilaterral in our support of the Obama/Biden ticket!

I would say that we both voted a straight Democratic ticket, but we both voted for Angus King, the independent candidate & former Governor, for US Senate. We both have a very high regard for Cynthia Dill, the Democratic nominee, but we wanted to take NO CHANCE of a repeat of 2010 and geting another paul lepage in the person of republican/teabagger charlie summers in the Senate. Our bad feelings are somewhat mitigated by the fact that the DSCC never really gave Dill much support and she ran an AWFUL campaign. We hope that she gets another bite at the higher office apple sometime in the future. You can never have TOO many good potential leaders in the party.

So, we've done our DUTY as loyal American citizens. We look forward to a great election night!

That's my 2 cents, and quite possibly overpriced at that!

PEACE!
