2016 Postmortem
In reply to the discussion: Hillary reneges on California debate [View all]timlot
(456 posts)36. Bernie supporters aren't persuadable right now. When he officially suspends things will change.
As far as poll go. The two repug polls (Fox News & Rasmussen) do this every election. They are outliners because they are trying to change the narrative about Donald losing. They did the same thing with Romney in 2012. NY Times/CBS is the latest poll where Hillary is up +6 47/41.

So true. It's been the same stump speech and the same talking points for over a year now.

Bernie and his supporters should not be rewarded for their bad behavior. 1st rule of common sense.

Smart. She doesn't have to face Bernie. She should be preparing to face Trump now.

Well, you see it on actual issues as well. Gay marriage, war, banks, etc. Same pattern--always late.

I really don't know why she'd do this debate. What would be the point? She's won and won big

No need for the winner Hillary to debate the second runner up. Time to focus on Trump.
