(4,711 posts)51. It's a fairly untenable position, for sure, in a situation rife with untenable positions.
But I think there's a very strong case to be made that if you don't want to see President Trump in January, you need to have Bernie at the top of the ticket in November. A lot of people voted for Hillary early in the primary season who might have since come to regret that vote in light of successive events. Now you've got a frontrunner who looks to be in serious danger of federal indictment. THAT is an even more untenable position than Bernie's. The SD's need to do the job for which they were established and safeguard the party from the disastrous outcome that a Hillary nomination will be.
